Just heard that Pernille Rosendahl made a coverversion of D-A-D's "Laugh 'n' a half". Have anyone heard it? It appears on the Soundtrack to "Supervoksen".
I'm excited to hear how it sounds, hopefully very good.
Remember when Me & My made a version of "Sleeping my day away"? What a media storm it gave...

I have heard it. Of corse it's not the real deal...nothing beats the original version and artists Smiley
But it is definitly much better than Me & My's atempt...

There is a topic with a link to the super voksen trailer somewhere in here

Well I think it sounds too sweet in my ears. The vocal is too high. I think that Pernille Rosendahl is a brilliant singer, but this version doesn't ring a bell in my ears. I don't think that D-A-D songs are for woman. If someone should make a coverversion of D-A-D's songs, it should be a man or woman with a very strong, powerfull rock voice. I think that D-A-D jam does it much better, or some of the other Cover bands.
Sorry, it's just my point of view!

This is Pernille Rosendahls owen version of the number, not a "tribute" number...

Bob Dylans Knocking on heavens door has also been recorded in many differents ways, and of them is cool (guns n roses)..

I think Pernille have done a great job, she's a brilliant singer and its sounds great in my ears! Smiley-midget

Is it a good movie?

Her version of the song sounds fine, shes an okay musician, but I like the original one, Jespers voice is so cool and has the right edge too...

I saw the movie at a sneak preview last monday, And as one of the only people sat through the credits after the movie just to hear Pernille Rosendahls beatiful version of laugh'n' ½. As for the movie, it's quite funny, and highly recommendable if you ever been a teenager.

My two cents...

I\\\'m not really felling the song with that high a womans voice, maybe if it had been a woman with a bit more rock in her voice....

Hmm maybe someday someone will make a techno/trance/dance version out of "Counting the cattle" It really has the beat for it. If so and it's good, I'll be dancing on the tables haha

If I had ProTools or Fruity Loops or something like that, I'd totally make a Techno Remix of Counting The Cattle.

Or Golden Way. Smiley-wink

I think it sucks that she sings Laugh'n'A half...

Don't have anything against her, mind you... Her voice just doesn't suit this song..

Hi

I just heard the Pernille Rosendahl-version of Laught'n'ahalf. It just ain't got that swing in my ears!

People should stop covering musicians from their own generation - and stick to their own genre. -Stricktly my opinion Smiley

I've heard the full song once. And I like the fact that it's quite different - not the typical cover version. Atleast she given the song her own touch.
Btw. glad to see that some of us fans can still have a good discussion instead of "WHAT!! It sucks!! D-A-D's songs are phobitten to make covers off arghh!! ect. ect. ect..

Alright, some random ramblings cause I don't have much time online... I've finally heard the cover -- and I really like it. I like that they changed it a bit, cause there few things I hate more than straight covers that sounds exactly like the original. This is a fresh take on an old tired song -- and I think they managed to give it a 2006 spin without losing the feeling and spirit of the original. I still like the original more, but the cover is still pretty damn good, IMO.

Though it sounds funky in my eyes when she sings "mrs. mistaken" instead of "mr. mistaken", but that's nothing important.
