I did it because when I went to school, one of my school mates had a tape with him from d-a-d, and we where listening to it in our lunch breaks.. Then I heard the song "Grow or pay", but nothing happend there... When d-a-d released "Good clean" I heard the song a again and then I got hooked. I went down in my local cd store and bought the cd... Since then I've become a VERY huge d-a-d fan.... and I don't regret it at all...

I think my great cousin played "no fuel..." for me. And that was the spark that started it all Smiley
Or at least that's how I recall it. It's been a while Smiley-laugh

When I was a little girl I watched music in t.v. I used to watched Krumme: "Man er som man er" but one day I saw some guys with long hair in a big sofa. I can clearly remember it:) About 6 years later my neighbours and I went to Vig Festival.. there they were again. I regonized (hmm.. how do you spell it??) Jesper and Bad Craziness. Since then I've been a fan. 1998 (my first year as a teen!!!)

I used to play table tennis when I was younger, and our coach had a copy of Riskin' in his car... we heard it when we were trying to find our way to some small town somewhere on "Lars tyndskids mark". Have been a fan ever since those days.

I remember that I had a Mix poster with a calender on one side of it and the boys on the other showing their Mix awards for Riskin'. At first I used the calender but after hearing Riskin' I had to turn it around:-) Any of you remember that poster? Stig looks SOOOO stoned... but well, it was back in the day:-)

A friend introduced me to them in 1995 (ofcourse I already knew Bad Craziness, Grow or pay etc.).

He had already seen them live and had a lot of cd's with them.

Helpyourselfish and especially reconstrucdead really got me hooked + the first concert i attended.

To Prinsen.. I also have that poster... And first I had the Calendar poster on my wall, but when I became a D-A-D fan I turned it around, so D-A-D was on the front.. And there it was hanging on my wall...shining bright and looking very nice.... But that's many years ago now... Still got the poster though..

First time I heard DAD: I saw the video to 'Sleeping' on 'Headbangers Ball' in a bar that had cable TV in a ski resort in Southern France with my Canadian buddy Andrew when we were young teenagers back in '89. That's pretty fun memories.

My brother played Bad Craziness for me when I was like 14-15 years old... Then I got hooked! Think I heard 15-20 times in a row...! And that same year, I started playing guitar, after I'd heard Grow Or Pay. So, that song is actually the reason why I'm a BADASS GUITARPLAYER this day... Smiley-wink

I was remembering the song sleeping my days away from when I was in school. Did some research on the net, and found the site. Next thing I know I am realizing that the band has put out a ton of great music. I start buying the cd's a couple at a time, and now everyone in the office is aware of D-A-D. Just wish there was an easier way to see them live. Living in the USA makes it difficult. Especially seeing the board and all of you asking about who is going to the next show. Almost forgot this all started about 2 years ago.

we had 2 cd from a danish news paper "8 greatest" i think with Sleeping and Bad Craziness, I liked the songs but it wasn't untill a friend of mine (Tousig) played Good Clean for me (I recall the cd was his brothers). But then I wished for Simpatico for my 13th birthday and saw my first concert in Valby in 98..
So basically it's all Tousig's fault, you bastard Smiley-wink

How did I become a ’True Believer’?

Hmm, my big brother had ‘Good Clean…’ and I listened a lot to it, but it was not until the release of ‘Simpatico’ I really got hooked. I can remember that the evening before the release there was something in the TV about them, and their attitude just appealed to my inner Rock Star Smiley
Soon after I bought Helpyourselfish and since I have spent thousands on merchandise, cd’s and so on…

I think that it was my story Smiley

I can remember "Sleeping my day away" and "Bad Craziness" from my childhood, but I didn't knew who was playing. When I was about 7 years old, my parents had a "Green concert" cd, from 1996 I think. Reconstrucdead was on that cd, and I loved the song, though I was a little girl. Then my sister started listening to "The early years", and I got caught by them. I began know more about them, and I saw them in television. Christmas eve in 2002 I think, I got Good Clean and Soft Dogs. And then.. I was caught!

My bigbrother make me buy No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims, Riskin’ It All and D.A.D. Special on the danish market Døllefjelde-Musse when i was not that old.
I heard these cd’s alot in some years and since 1999 i have been, and still am, a megafan.

Now i’ve got all their albums made on CD, all their albums made on LP and all their albums made on MC. And I also have posters from all of their albums. I have got and bought alot of rare merchandise and much much more...

I have been backstage with them once Smiley (in Tivoli the 19th of september 2004)

That was my D.A.D. a.k.a. Disneyland After Dark story!

Same story as "Beerandpizza" for researching the band to find they were from Denmark.
Saw "Sleeping My Day Away" video on muchmusic ( Canadian version of U.S. MTV ) back in 89-90.
That's all it took.

Well. In the early years, when I did´nt know of the powerful magic that D-A-D could create, I just needed some new new music that I hadn't heard before.. I asked my parents "Is D-A-D a good rock band?" and my dad replied "son, It's an excellent rockband!". At first I thought, what a stupid way to make music... Cowpunk!!! is that even possible to listen to..

I was actually pissed because i thought that I had wasted my money on some cheap peace of junk....

I realize now that if I hadn't bought that cd I may not have been the addictive fan that I am today...

Now I just can't imagine a life without D-A-D...

Maybe it sounds a bit overated but I think that a lot of fans agree...

Through a chick I stayed w/ in Kobenhavn. She gave me a CD of the band and I thought it was pretty cool. Although I like D-A-D, my style is more love songs w/ the melody and loudness of rock n' roll... which I think most chicks want.:)
