I have just talked with the people in CDSkiven.dk,
they have talked with EMI and they say that they are hoping to have the LP today or tomorrow

I should hope so. So that means that they'll have the record in stores by Monday or Tuesday, I guess.

Hang on...are they still with EMI then? I thought that the contract ended after the last album. Must've missed something! Seeing as the last album to get a UK release was Helpyourselfish (!), I was really ooking forward to them getting the push they deserve and maybe actually being able to buy their albums in a shop for a change rather than on import via the net. Can anyone enlighten me please?
Obviously if there's no UK release (yet again!) then there's very little chance of D-A-D actually playing here either. I'm VERY worried!!!

The record company is still EMI, but the distributor is now ENS instead of GDC. Whether that's good or bad, I don't really know.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the new distributor will do a better job then. I find it incomprehensible that one of the best rock bands in the world can go 10 years (4 albums if you include Psychopatico) without a release in Europe's largest music market. No wonder D-A-D's profile in the UK has virtually vanished. If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't know what was going on - thank God for the internet!

ENS is just their Danish distributor, though. I have no idea if the even have an international deal.
