When you look back in time at the earlier albums, Draws a circle and No fuel... were the albums to let D-A-D out of the room called "Cowpunk", then after Riskin' it all, they got tired of being accoiated with a typical 80's heavy rock band, so then came Helpyourselfish to put these thoughts away.
There have been a lot of talking about that on Simpatico, Everything Glows and Soft Dogs they have become a soft-rock band. (Though I don't agree) My theory is that the upcoming album is the key that will let them out of that image and into a new era.
Is history repeating itself?

I see your point and I agree...
But I have to say... I liked the simpatico-EG-softdogs style... And I think that some of the effects that cobber uses and his solos are too similar with the effects used and the solos played back in the days of helpyourselfish...
