I remember that a guy told me for many years ago that D-A-D dont play It's After Dark if it is before 24.00 or if they arent the last band in line (on festivals and such).

I think that it sounds weird so does any of you know if there is some "unwritten" rules for playing It's After Dark.

"Usually D-A-D only plays "It's After Dark" when it actually is dark. So if the concert you attended ended before it was dark, that is possibly why."

(From their very own FAQ :-))

I don't believe in the after midnight thing, but they definitely do not play the song at two o' clock in the afternoon ;) and thank god for that! I wish they wouldn't play it at every single concert. The song don't give me the goosebumps it used to.

I would LOVE to hear Jacketless in december, but I guess it wouldn't be appropriate to play it in June! They should drop "sleeping my day away", "bad craziness" and "it's after dark" once in a while, and put in some of the good oldies.

Sorry, I guess I didn't help that much answering your question ;)

I agree with kanze

They really should dumb those songs once in a while, OR at least drop the FREAKIN long solo in Sleeeping my day away.. they've been playing it for 3 years now or something.. It gets boring when you've heard it too much... I lost my focus when they played it at Randers...

I can see you point. But those songs are a must to a D-A-D concert!

Kanze's right. Or almost. No D-A-D show without Sleeping My Day Away. That my opinion. That song is "indbegrebet" of D-A-D. I could live without it, but many others can't.

But your right about It's After Dark. It really doesnt give the goosebumbs that it should anymore. And thats a shame. My first concert with D-A-D was back in 2000 and i still remember Laust hanging in a wire from the roof, playing "Jacketless" on sax. That was amazing and it would be way cooler if they played a song like that instead of "It's After Dark".

There are so many songs that i really want to see live, like: "It Changes Everything", "Cloudy Hours", "Ich Will Nicht Mein Hare Snitzen" or "Between You And Me".

Jacketless would be a perfect substitute for it's after dark.
Bonehard: believe they played I won't cut my hair at almost all concerts last year, but it is still nice

Onlyrock: I'm also tired of that ½ hour solo during sleeping, cutting that they would have room for an extra song like "Ill Will" ;) .

They can't drop Sleeping and Bad Craziness, 'cause people who only hear D-A-D one or two times at a year, are there to hear those two songs! Everyone knows them, and that's why there are so many people at a D-A-D concert! If they played the songs you requested and left out Sleeping and Bad Craziness, trust me, A LOT of people would get disappointed...! That's the highlight for them! Just because some of us in hear almost attempt every single concert, these two major hits should not be left out... It would completely ruin the concert.

And I agree with some of you fans.. Once a while it could be nice to hear other songs than "Sleeping", Craziness and After Dark.. If D-A-D was playing at a gig in December then it would be nice to hear Jacketless in December again... Last I heard it was in year 2000/2001...

But as we all know, if D-A-D doesn't play these "must" songs, then they'll hear people complaining...
